The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is seeking a Climate Finance Analyst based in Kigali, Rwanda. This position supports Rwanda's national efforts to mobilize and track climate finance flows, working at the intersection of climate policy and development finance.

The Climate Finance Analyst will map and analyze climate finance flows into Rwanda from multilateral, bilateral, and private sources, support the development of climate finance tracking systems and methodologies, assist government counterparts in preparing funding proposals to climate funds (GCF, GEF, Adaptation Fund), analyze climate budget tagging in national budgets, prepare reports on climate finance trends and gaps, contribute to Rwanda's NDC (Nationally Determined Contribution) implementation financing strategy, and coordinate with development partners on climate investment alignment.

Requirements: Master's degree in economics, finance, environmental studies, or related field. Experience in climate finance, development finance, or public financial management. Knowledge of international climate finance architecture (GCF, GEF, etc.). Strong analytical and report-writing skills. Proficiency in English; French is an advantage.
